Rose McIver is an Australian actress, best known for her role as the telepathic empath "Morticia Addams" in ABC's "The Addams Family" television series. McIver was born in Sydney, Australia, to English mother June (née Lawrence) and Irish father Derek McIver. She has two brothers. After graduating from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Arts in 1999, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career
She appeared in small roles on television shows "Six Feet Under", "Noah's Arc", "The Shield", and "Veronica Mars". She made her film debut in 2003's "American Psycho II". In 2005, McIver starred as Rebecca Howe in HBO's miniseries adaptation of the Stephen King novel The Stand. She has also guest-starred on UPN's "Veronica Mars" and CBS' "" among other television shows.
Her first major starring role was in FX's The Riches (TV series), which ran for six episodes during the 2010 season.
